Basicly , Pakistan Army officers first step in the field of entering Pakistan Armed Forces is PMA. But for taking part in PMA is not very easy at all. First, you need your  following tests to be cleared.

Step-by-Step PMA Selection Process

      1. Intial written test (by Army selection and recruitment centre )

It consist of MCQs  based on matric , FSc level ,  pattren recognition and sequences .

      2.  A Phyiscal Test

In this test you have to do further activities

• 1.6 km run in 8 minutes

• 15 push-ups in 2 minutes

• 15 sit-ups in 2 minutes

• 3 chin-ups in 2 minutes

       .  Ditch crossing (7’4” × 7’4” with a depth of 4’)

     3.  Medical Test

This test is baiscly your body test or you can also say that it is your General Health Check-up.

      4.   Initial interview

It is conducted by senior Army officer at ASRC.

     5. ISSB (Inter Services Selection Board) Call

If  you will be selected after the initial stages, you’ll be called for the 4-day ISSB:

• They check your confidence , leadership in the group tasks , communication skills etc
• Final Board Interview.

      6. Final Medical at CMH

It stands for Combined Military Hospital . The test is conducted at RWP , SKT or any other CMH .

      7. Final Selection (GHQ Rawalpindi)

Based on overall merit: written + physical + ISSB + medical + final interview.
